Asia Content Business Summit slated for 20-22 Feb in Pattaya, Thailand
The Asia Content Business Summit 2011 will be hosted by Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC) under the Ministry of Culture, Thailand for the first time this year jointly along with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industries of Japan. The summit will be on 21-22 Feb at the Amari Orchid Pattaya on the topic, Creating a cross- border content market for the Asian Content Industry in order to creative space for creative industries including film, music, film TV games, animation etc. Representatives from Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Japan would be participating at the summit.
The first day will focus on trade policies for sectors like Film, Animation, Games, Ebooks, Social Media and will also include the private sector business matching. 40 Thai companies will be inviting their Asian Partners for the event and the business matching will be held on the 2nd day.
Talking to AnimationXpress Asia Pacific, Lak Taechawanchai from TACGA shared, “ACBS is a high level forum which has been carried forward from Japan a few years back and we are proud to host it this year in Thailand. Ministry of Culture, Department of Intellectual Property (DIP), under Ministry of commerce and TACGA have come together for this summit to focus of the trade policies and business matching and for Asian companies to come together and collaborate creatively. We expect around 150 participants and welcome one and all to Thailand.”
