FICCI, Korean Agency Sign Mou To Boost Media & Entertainment Business Partnership

FICCI and Korean Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a bid to boost media and entertainment business partnership between India and Korea, post-CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement).

The MoU was signed by Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Secretary General, FICCI and Mr. Jae-woong Lee President & CEO, KOCCA. In terms of the MoU, both organizations agree to cooperate with each other for overseas marketing of Indian and Korean contents in each country. They will exchange information, statistical data and expertise about content markets of India and Korea.

Apart from cooperating with each other for education and training of professionals of content industry of India and Korea, FICCI and KOCCA will cooperate in implementing various events, including seminars, conferences and exhibitions in India and Korea.
The two organizations will have discussions and consultations on various areas for the development of content industry in India and Korea.

KOCCA, under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Government of Korea, is an agency dedicated to promoting all areas for Media & Entertainment (M&E), including broadcasting, film, game and animation. KOCCA establishes a comprehensive support system to nurture the M&E industry, and aim to develop Korea as one of the world’s top 5 contents powerhouses. KOCCA conducts various support businesses to help Korea’s M&E corporations.
