KidsCo to air Australian animation series ''The Beach Crew''
KidsCo, owned by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Entertainment and Corus Entertainment Inc., has recently signed a contract with Australia's The Beach Crew Productions to broadcast the animated adventure series, 'The Beach Crew'. Eighteen, five-minute episodes of the show will be broadcast across Australia and South East Asia beginning June 2010. It will broadcast in Cambodia, HK, Indonesia, South Korea, Maldives, Mongolia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.
'The Beach Crew' series follows the crime fighting adventures of Billy Boogie, Sammy Surfboard and Mini Malibu as they seek to protect their beach from the dastardly plans of Cash Coin and Slimy Seaweed. The series plays on kids' love of the beach, whilst providing action packed adventure stories that entertain, intrigue and inspire, with an environmental theme.
Talking to Animation Xpress Asia Pacific, Paul Robinson, Managing Director at KidsCo shared, "There are approximately 10,685 beaches in Australia alone demonstrating the extent of the shows audience relevance. KidsCo encourages children to engage with and learn from their environment so that they grow to respect and protect it, and this show fits well with this aim. 'The Beach Crew' is an exciting new addition to the unique schedule of programmes that KidsCo has secured to date and integrates with our philosophy of delivering an educational experience to children that is also fun and stimulating."

'The Beach Crew' joins KidsCo's original production, 'Boo & Me', which follows the adventures of an animated baby orang-utan and his pals, as a further example of programming that highlights the importance of protecting the environment in a fun and highly engaging format.
