X|Media|Lab announced 'X|Media|Lab: China Animation Market' - an inaugural professional conference and business matching forum set to become the most important date on the calendar for international animation companies seeking to do business in China.

Part of the China Animation and Game Expo, and mandated by the Chinese Central Government, China Animation Market is presented by X|Media|Lab in partnership with the Suzhou Municipal Government (www.sipac.gov.cn), and the Shanghai Media Group (www.smg.cn) - China's second-biggest media conglomerate. To take place in Suzhou, China, from 9 July 2010, the China Animation Market is where international companies and broadcasters can explore business opportunities in outsourcing, co-production, investment, distribution, franchising and licensing with pre-selected highquality Chinese companies in a business matching environment.

In attendance will be key powerbrokers from all China's TV animation networks (including Wang Ying, General Manager, CCTV Kids Channel and Yang Wen Yan, General Manger, SMG Kids Channel), as well as the principal players from China's most innovative and successful animation companies.

An impressive line-up of international visitors will include London's Lord Waheed Alli (media entrepreneur, Executive Chairman of Chorion and co-founder of Planet 24), Los Angeles' Leah Hoyer (Director of Development at the Walt Disney Company), Sydney's Kim Dalton (Head of ABC Television), Pietro Ventani (producer of the forthcoming Chinese Oddessy, a groundbreaking co-production from the China Film Group, Beijing Galloping Horse Film & TV and Tiger 62 Media), and many others.

The X|Media|Lab: China Animation Market event is considered the opportunity for international animators to meet with and build relationships with their Chinese counterparts - the biggest and best way for creators, distributors, broadcasters, agents, producers and investors to develop profitable partnerships. "The X|Media|Lab: China Animation Market will allow the international and Chinese animation industries to establish new creative and business relationships," said X|Media|Lab Director Brendan Harkin. "In addition to showcasing China's blossoming animation industries, the summit will bring together leading international producers, executives and creatives explore partnership opportunities with their Chinese counterparts."

"The XML: China Animation Market will assemble a veritable who's who of the Chinese animation industries and become the premier event bringing Chinese and international animation companies and broadcasters together," said Tatiana Kober, President of Bejuba! Entertainment. Kober whom has participated in two previous X|Media|Lab events in China.
