Red Kite Animations appoints Nickelodeon Exec, Leanne Preston as Development Manager

Award-winning production company, Red Kite Animations has announced the expansion of its development team with the appointment of former Nickelodeon Development Executive, Leanne Preston. Assuming the role of Development Manager, Preston will be responsible for sourcing and developing new content for children’s TV. Having set a development strategy in place; Leanne and her team are now looking for projects and ideas to add to the slate. Preston will report to Executive Director and Chief Creative Officer, Ken Anderson.

Preston joins Red Kite Animations, part of the global media agency August Media Holdings, following six years at Nickelodeon. During her time at the kids’ network, Preston worked on the development and production of original content globally for a range of projects, including the successful hit show House of Anubis; the BAFTA nominated show is Nickelodeon’s first US live action show to be produced outside of North America.
