In response to the devastating earthquakes that hit Haiti, SkyVu Pictures, the makers of the Battle Bears game, will be donating 25% of all sales this week (January 18 - 22) to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

Benjamin Vu, co-founder and President of SkyVu Pictures is also calling other Top Paid Apps on the iTunes' App Store to match or exceed the Battle Bears contribution. "I believe that together, all the top app developers and publishers can make a big impact on helping the people of Haiti." says Vu. The Top 100 Paid Apps are mostly games and Vu hopes that this campaign will allow many teens to contribute to the cause. Vu created the website Apps For Haiti Week at AppsForHaiti.org which will list the top paid apps that will be contributing to the American Red Cross.

As the child of Vietnamese refugees, Vu understands the importance of contributions. "I was still in my mom's tummy when our family became refugees of Vietnam in 1975. I wouldn't be able make games today if it weren't for the generosity of organizations like the American Red Cross."

In its first 25 days, BATTLE BEARS rose to the No. 1 action and adventure game on iTunes. Cute and cuddly mixed with wacky violence seemed to strike a chord in gamers all over the world. The latest version added more crazy levels and characters such as the monstrous COLBEAR and the deadly harmonizing Bearber Shop Quartet.

"Best iPhone Games of 2009" - TouchArcade "Top 100 iPhone Games of 2009" - iLounge BATTLE BEARS 1.5 is on sale now on iTunes for $0.99.
