Big Animation's 'Little Krishna' goes to Malaysia, En-route to Indonesia & Thailand

One of India‘s most high end 3D animated TV series, co created by BIG Animation (Pune) & India Heritage Foundation, ‘Little Krishna‘, is all set to be released in the Malaysian market. This 13 episode x 23 mins series has been acquired by Nexus Productions Sdn. Bhd. based at Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia. They have acquired the TV Broadcasting and DVD rights in English and Hindi for 3 years. Currently the discussions are on with Astro and Zee Channel for its broadcast and only the DVD‘s of the episodes have been released in Malaysia.

The series has been airing in India successfully in both Hindi and English on Nick India since last one and a half year and is also available on home video in India.

Speaking to AnimationXpress Asia Pacific Big Animation Finance Head Tejonidhi Bhandare shared, "Ideally it should start airing in Malaysia in the summer vacations of 2011. Apart from Malaysia, Little Krishna will be airing in Thailand, Indonesia and Poland in the first stage. Currently the merchandising is getting launched in Indonesia and discussions are on for Malaysia and Thailand. The single point of contact for Indonesia is Rajesh from PT Spectrum".

"And probably Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhastan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kirgizia, Tadzhikistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Ossetia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the second stage since the rights are getting finalized", he further added.

The world-class series is a result of seven years of painstaking research work handpicked from the chronicles of Krishna and made into the most remarkable stories of the greatest legendary ‘prank-star‘ from the Indian heritage. This has ensured that the narrative is in its most original and pure form, without any distortions.

Every episode is an action-packed adventure of "Little Krishna" with the colossal battles of good against evil, but it never misses to touch the emotional chord of the narrative. "Little Krishna" is the ultimate action hero that slays the deadliest demons with his magical powers to save mankind.
