Asia Events’ Game Bandits Master-Class 2011, Singapore slated for 21-22 July 2011

Organized by Asia Events, Game Bandits Master-Class 2011 will take place on 21st and 22nd July 2011 at Colosseum, Iluma, Singapore which is a 2-days Hands-on Master-class for game developers to get updated and explore the in-depths behind the screens of play works. At this master-class, participants can expect a heavy-packed schedule on game design and development including optimsization, lighting, coding, scripting, flaw test-bedding and more. The event is organized in collaboration with Adobe (Flash), Autodesk, Microsoft, Unity3D. It is a paid registration event. Talking to Animation Xpress Asia Pacific Serene Tay, Events Director (Founder), Asia Events shared, “For this workshop Uditha Bandara From Microsoft, Mike Jones from Adobe Systems and Carl Callewaert from Unity Technologies will be the presenters. The master classes will explore new technologies that will impact game development, perceive new ways to develop innovative and engaging content, share experiences and insights on game development mechanics, software dynamics and design aesthetics, Showcase evidences of game design, mobile/ multi-platform apps and game development and discuss what to expect in the game development landscape in the future.”

On day 1 of the event there are Microsoft sessions where Uditha Bandara, Microsoft - South East Asia’s First XNA/DirectX Most Valuable Professional (Sri Lanka) will tell about Next-Gen Games on Windows Phone 7. Microsoft XNA Game Studio provides rich tool set to create games for Windows Phone 7 devices. With the new Silverlight integration developers can create UI far more easily than the traditional way. This session outlines how to use XNA API to develop 2D and 3D games and about Building Your Own Mobile Game Title which involve planning, storyboarding, designing, developing and testing. This session highlights the lifecycle of mobile game development when creating a simple mobile game with XNA.”

After Lunch there are Adobe sessions where Mike Jones, Gaming Evangelist, Worldwide - Adobe Systems (UK) will tell how to develop games with Flash Platform.

On second day there is Unity 3D Session where Carl Callewaert, Evangelist, Unity Technologies (Canada) will give an overview of the award-winning Unity platform for creating games and rich 3D applications for the desktop, web, mobile devices and consoles. The session will also cover how to create a 3D game from start to a final cross platform version for the iOS, Android, Facebook and Standalone. This session will cover the new features of Unity 3.4.

There are Autodesk Sessions where workshop will cover next-gen game development techniques using a mixed pipeline environment consisting of 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, and ZBrush.
