For the first time Thailand’s Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA) in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada (Trade Commissioner), Thailand is hosting the Business Partnership Program entitled Thai‐Canadian Collaborative Forum on the 23rd – 26th August, 2011 Bangkok, Thailand. The forum will take place at Swissotel Le Concorde Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

The forum will take place at Swissotel Le Concorde Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

Talking to AnimationXpress Asia Pacific, A Representative from The Event Organizer, KDC Co. ltd, "It can be said that this event is a consequence of the International MOU. A representative from the Trade Comissioner Service of the Government Canada of Thailand, joining the MOU event finds a a good possibility to hold such an event between Thai and Canadian entrepreneurs. So, SIPA in cooperation with the Trade Comissioner Service of the Government Canada of Thailand initiated the event which is the first time ever for TH and CND digital content and media business. But this time is focusing on business matching for TH and CND exclusively.

The main objective is to promote business opportunities and collaborations among Thai and Canadian companies within creative and digital content industry including software, film, animation, game, mobile application, and other related business such as e‐ learning, new media, and training.   The strength of mature Canadian Digital industry, in which several world‐class digital content, mobile applications, software and entertainment companies are based in, and the growth of Thai Creative and Digital Content industry, where abundant resources and business opportunities lie within, can assure to create mutual benefits for all delegates at the event.

The collaborations between the two countries such as project joint‐venture, co‐investment, outsourcing, venture capital, knowledge and technology transfer, and other business deals are to be encouraged through this program. Canadian delegates will have access to first‐hand information of Thailand’s creative and digital content industry as well as information of potential Thai companies.

The event includes four major provisional activities:-

I. Thai-Canadian Collaboration Forum
Introduction to Canadian digital industry by Canadian representative, An overview of Thai digital content and software industry by SIPA representative, Foreign Investment opportunities and incentives for digital content and software industry by Thai representative, Presentation of Thai companies’ show reel, Presentation of Canadian companies, Special talk by a guest speaker..

II. Business Matching Day
Business Matching day by pre‐scheduling (target at least 50 matches).  An LCD monitor will be provided upon request.

III. Thai-Canadian Networking Reception
An official dinner reception is hosted by SIPA for participants and governments’ representatives.

IV. Studio/Campus Visit in Bangkok
A half‐day company/studio visit at a renowned Thai company is provided. Thai‐Canadian Collaborative Forum. 

The event is a must attend for people engaged in software, film, animation, game, mobile application, new media and other forms of digital content, as well as academic and professional organizations. This business matching program will also provide great opportunities not only for business networking but also the PR platform where all participants will be promoted through various PR channels, i.e. online media, event exhibition, supporting agencies’ websites, and international press.
