Following on from their BAFTA success last year, Double Negative VFX Supervisor, David Vickery, has been nominated for the Special Visual Effects BAFTA award this year for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.  Dneg's work on the film included the fully digital Hogwarts and its destruction, floating deatheaters, the cart-ride into Gringotts vault and the beautifully realised Gringotts dragon.

David will also be in L.A. with fellow Dneg Supervisor, Charlie Noble, to present at the Oscar VFX Bake-offs on January 19th, for their work on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 and Captain America: The First Avengers, respectively.

The BAFTA SVFX nomination also follows Dneg nominations in the 10th Annual Visual Effects Society awards for Deathly Hallows 2, Captain America and Paul, announced last week, and Annie award nominations on Paul.

Says Dneg's CEO, Matt Holben, "We're blown away to see a Dneg Supervisor nominated for a SVFX BAFTA again this year.  This is a great testament to the drive and talent we are so lucky to foster here at Double Negative. We're so proud of our teams and wish David and all the nominees in this
illustrious line up the best of luck."
